CHURCH GROUPS

We’re a living and thriving Church! The following is a list of our current groups.  Please come along and join in on any gathering, you will be made most welcome.

Prayer Group

The Prayer Group meet in the Church Hall Annexe from 9.45am – 10.45am on Wednesday mornings.  Please come along if you wish to join them, or if you have a special request for prayers to be said for yourself or someone you know contact one of the team.

Bible Study

Bible study group meet in the Church Hall Annexe on the second Wednesday of the month at 12 noon.  It is lead by different people in the congregation and lasts about 30 – 45 minutes.  During Lent and Advent there are weekly Bible studies followed by soup and bread.

Mid-week Worship

This is a short mid week service led by our Minister.  We meet in the Church Hall Annexe on the third Wednesday of the month at 12 noon.  If you feel that Sunday worship is too long for you, or you cannot make it on Sundays why not come and join us at this service?

Choir

The choir supports worship during Advent, Christmas, Lent and Easter.  We meet in the Church on Sunday afternoons at 3.00pm from mid October to Christmas and February through to Easter.  We welcome everyone who enjoys singing regardless of standard; we will make a joyful noise to the Lord.

The Guild

The Guild meet on 1st and 3rd Wednesday afternoons at 2.00pm. Please leave a message for Anne Lawson on 01764 679555.

Silver Circle

Silver Circle meets every Thursday afternoon at 2.00pm – 4.00pm.  A full programme is arranged every year including a few bus trips and afternoon teas, a copy of the programme can be found here Silver Circle Program 2019.  Please leave a message for Margaret McVicar or Myra Robertson on 01764 679555 for more information.

Art for All

We meet in the Church Hall Annexe every Monday afternoon from 2.00pm.  Everyone who enjoys creating artwork of every kind will be made welcome.

Wednesday TeaBreak

Drop in on any Wednesday morning from 11.00am – 12 noon in the Church Hall Annexe for a chat and a cup of tea or coffee and a biscuit.  This is an opportunity for friendship, fellowship or just a natter.

Sing-a-long

While Sing-a-long is principally for the enjoyment of those who live with dementia, and their carers, it is open to everyone who enjoys a sing-song. We meet on the second Wednesday of every month at 2pm in the Church, singing all the old songs that we used to sing in our youth.  After singing, a well deserved cuppa and plenty of home-baking is served.  Everyone is welcome.  If you would like to come along please just turn up, or if you need transport please leave a message for Mairi Philp on 01764 679555.
