As you may be aware, this Saturday should have seen the start of the General Assembly in Edinburgh, but for obvious reasons for the first time in over 400 years it will not be taking place next week.
The new Moderator, Rev Dr Martin Fair of Arbroath St Andrew’s will however be installed on Saturday in a special service from the Assembly Hall, this will be broadcast live on the Church of Scotland website at 11am and afterwards be archived so you can watch at your leisure if you can’t see it live.
The now traditional Sunday event in Princes Street Gardens,“Heart and Soul”, is also of course cancelled but a special Heart and Soul broadcast will be made at 2pm on Sunday, again available afterwards.
